Introduction

Welcome to the Advisor Tutorial! By following it, you will be able to easily connect to DSS and create your own cards. This Tutorial is designed to guide you throw a quick path to setting up Advisor for a specific use case.

To illustrate Advisor usage, we will create an Advisor view based on movies data. The Advisor User Guide contains a detailed explanation of the Advisor features. You can use it if you need a deeper understanding.

Requirements

Before running this tutorial, please make sure that:

• You have a DSS instance running with a version ≥ 10.0
• You have Python ≥ 3.7 installed on the instance
• You have followed the instructions to:
  • Install the plugin
  • Configure the plugin
  • Create an Advisor webapp

If the Web App appears as follows and you don't see any error, then you are good to go!

Prepare your data

Once your data has been uploaded into your project, sync the data set into the SQL database as illustrated below.
